Style a lazy-girl's knot - step-by-step Whether it is effortless chic for festivals, cocktails or days in the sun, Aaron Carlo of Headmasters, London, has the perfect updo.

Here's how to recreate his lazy girl's knot.

Step One

Step Two

Step One: Add a little L'Oréal Professionnel Teci Art Natural Liss to freshly cleansed hair to tame any frizz and create a smooth base. Blow-dry the hair using a round bristle brush to add extra movement and lift at the roots. Take randomly sized sections, and tong from the roots to the ends to create soft curls. Sprinkle Super Dust into the roots to add height and give hold without leaving hair looking crispy. Step Two: Draw the hair into a ponytail between the crown and the nape, leaving some pieces free around the hairline to soften and frame the face.

Step Three

Step Four

Step Three: Secure the ponytail with elastic - a band can squash the curls. Step Four: Split the ponytail into two sections, tie into a knot and secure with pins.

Step Five

Finished Look

Step Five: Spritz salt spray through the hair and massage, to leave an undone, rock-girl finish. Finished Look
