Essential looks 111 edition celebrates schwarzkopf anniversary

Session stylist Massimo Di Stefano and colourist Lesley Lawson officially unveiled Schwarzkopf's Essential Looks 111 Edition to a crowd of hairdressers at the company's London Academy.

As well as being Schwarzkopf's trend collection for the season, 111 Edition celebrates Schwarzkopf's 111 year anniversary and was shot in Berlin where the company launched in a chemist over a century ago. 

Introducing the new Essential Looks collection, Technical Educator Kay Brady said: "In Germany all the same numbers, like 111 is a lucky sign - and in the current time it is nice to have some luck behind us."

Rounded Form

Glamazon

Exotic and confident, cool gets hot with this smouldering trend direction. Blending the sophisticated sexiness of the 70s with a safari vibe, these looks are about high-octane glamour and statuesque beauty, both on men and women. 80s Dance

Dancemania is coming to town, with hair and fashion guaranteed to work up a sweat. Lycra, sporty layering and lots of neon herald an 80s revival, while luxe workout-inspired clothing such as crystal-studded joggers, grown-up leotards and sweatshirting teamed with sheer dresses present a contemporary take on exercise that's feminine and beautiful. Rounded Form

A softening of previous geometric trends, this season's minimalist silhouette has become more natural and feminine. In hair, this translates into styles that hug the head and neck, curving playfully into napes and nooks. Rounded edges and bold tones are finished with lustre and gloss for a futuristic feel. Modern minimalism meets the new natural.

Describing the Essential Looks 111 Edition Part One Global Ambassador Massimo says: "This season hair plays such a strong part of the overall fashion directions, that it is an essential part of everyone's wardrobe.

"There is a high-energy vibe running through both fashion and hair, with quirky and sensual looks that translate across both haute couture and more wearable styles."

Schwarzkopf kicked off their year of festivities with a gala event in Munich that was enjoyed by with over 400 international guests gathering to celebrate 11 decades of the company's achievements in hair.
