Time to Step Up and Shine!
After winning the Step Up and Shine scholarship in May, 18-year-old hairdresser Evie Scrowston from Hays Salon in Hull has now officially begun her year-long educational journey.
As part of the scholarship – run in association with the National Hairdressers’ Federation and the Fellowship for British Hairdressing – Evie and renowned hairdressing educator, Debbie G, spent an inspirational day together, outlining a wish list of courses that Evie hopes to take throughout the process.
On starting her Step Up and Shine adventure, Evie Scrowston commented: “It was amazing to spend the day with Debbie to discuss and plan my diary for this year. I’m hoping to attend a variety of courses that will help me grow my skillset. Having the opportunity to attend Salon International this year will be also fantastic – it’s going to be a great year!”
Step Up and Shine was launched in honour of late hairdressing mentor, Cristofer Mann, to nurture one stylist with the year-long £2,500 educational programme.
