Tigi celebrates 2015 inspirational youth team TIGI-inspirational-youth7Members of the 11th TIGI Inspirational Youth team celebrated with a live show at London's prestigious Cafe de Paris. The team – Ollie Creswell from Harpers; Billie-Mo Tredgett from Laundry; Amanda Darcy from Sugar Cubed; Annie Miarli from Altered Image; James Graham from Deep Hairdressing; Sinead Cullen from Reba Hair & Beauty; Louise Stokoe from Andrew Collinge, Jack Baxter from Mesart Hair Design; Rhianna Franks from Forresters and Lee Isle from Cutting Room (The Salon) – completed their intensive bootcamp-style training with a photo shoot and culminated in the live presentation in front of friends and family. Brainchild of Anthony Mascolo, the course gives young hairdressers the opportunity to learn from the best, instil confidence in their existing skills while learning a whole host of new ones. "What is new today is old tomorrow - as hairdressers we have to constantly keep learning," enthused Anthony. The team put their newfound skills to use on the stage presenting models with colour, cuts, texture and style, using the new presentation skills they learnt from mentors Akos Bodi, Mike Esa, Maria Kovacs and Christel Lundqvist. The TIGI artistic team also presented the UK debut of the 2016 TIGI collection with deep reds, subtle blondes and traditional barbering techniques. Before TIGI president Tom Monaghan gave the team members their diplomas he said: "We are very proud of the Inspirational Youth team and have taken the concept worldwide. It is nights like this that you realise why it is great to be a hairdresser." [hji-gallery-legacy]
