Step by step: glastonbury hairspiration with ghd and millie mackintosh

  With Glastonbury gearing up for a perhaps less than summery start, we're loving these failsafe, functional but pretty styles. And when it comes to festival style you don't get more boho that ghd & Millie Mackintosh. Zoe Irwin created two festival friendly styles, perfect for hours spent dancing in a field, come rain or shine! Look 1: The Boho Twist 1. Prep the hair using the ghd root lift spray to create volume and texture. Use this all over the hair to ensure the movement holds throughout the day. 2. Follow with the ghd smooth and finish serum on mid lengths and ends to add moisture and long lasting shine! 3. Use the ghd Air hairdryer to blow out the look, twisting sections as you go for extra movement and intricate textures. 4. Next, work the Azores atlantic jade styler through the hair, to create a natural and effortless looking drop down curl. 5. Twist back the sides, starting at the temple and moving towards the back of the hair. Don’t be too precise with this motion. 6. Lastly, tie metallic thread around the area where the twist meets the back of the hair and criss-cross through the ends, pulling the hair out from the inside for added texture. Look 2: Textured Dutch Braids 1. For braids that last all day you need a good grip and hold in the hair, so prep the hair with ghd root lift spray before blowdrying. Then add ghd smooth and finish serum through the mid-lengths and ends to give a polished finish. 2. Split hair into a natural parting with fingers then braid from the front of the hairline with the sections braided underneath instead of on top. Braid through to the nape only. 3. From the nape mix the two braids together and pin to hold in place for a soft finish. 4. Create textured waves in the ends of the hair by using the ghd platinum serene pearl styler. Twist the styler downwards and then carry on sliding it down the hair to get the textured wave. Alternate the waves, going one way and then the other. 5. Using ghd final fix hair spray, spray it onto fingers and then run through the ends for an undone look, then pull the braids apart with fingers to give an overall undone finish.
