Ghd launches styling education for 2017
The ghd Style Squad and Graduate Styling Programme are back for 2017 and applications are now open for both. Now in its fifth year, the ghd Style Squad is a 12-month programme which aims to transform talented young stylists into fashion-forward artists at the very top of their game. During their time in the programme, students will be mentored by leading names from ghd and will enjoy a whole host of money-can’t-buy educational experiences. Previous groups have worked at London Fashion Week and enjoyed key roles at ghd media events and launches throughout the year. They also enjoy training in a diverse range areas from photoshoots to networking and social media mastery. To celebrate the team’s achievements, the style squad year ends with a graduation ceremony at the ghd London Studio to share their successes with friends and family. A place on the squad means pushing your career to the next level, making a name for yourself in the industry and developing one solid portfolio of work to be proud of. For those who want to really finesse their styling skills, the one-of-a-kind ghd Graduate Styling Programme is back for a third year. A hairdressing industry first, this is the ultimate finishing school for hairstylists and the first solely-styling education which is regulated and certified by VTCT, meaning each graduate will leave with the QCF ghd styling qualification. The programme is entirely personalised, allowing each stylist to build their own bespoke styling journey. Students undertake eight mandatory modules and specialise in six, allowing them to gain a full spectrum of knowledge while also concentrating on the areas that interest them the most.
Both programs are at the cutting-edge of styling education and provide the opportunity to network, meet hairdressing heroes and gain exposure, all while boosting your skills to a whole new level. Interested to find out more? ghd are hosting taster evenings at their London studio this February, allowing potential students and salon owners to get to grips with all aspects of these educational offerings.
