Everything You Need to Know About The Alternative Hair Show 2020
This year’s Alternative Hair Show, a stand out event in the hairdressing world, hosting leading inspirational hairdressers and awe-inspiring artistic teams from across the globe, will be held virtually for the first time on October 11 2020.
Coordinated by Alternative Hair Show founder Tony Rizzo and Alternative Hair Show global president Anthony Mascolo, the show will present a range of exclusive performances from the biggest names in international avant-garde hairdressing.
This event follows last year’s decision to partner with Salon International, held at ExCel London’s ICC Arena for the first time in the show’s 37 year history. The Salon crowd was impressed with a showcase featuring the work of 15 amazing artists and salons following a heartfelt Fighting Leukaemia Appeal video.
This year’s premier sponsors include Wella Professionals and TIGI, and the chosen theme for this year is the phrase ‘Imagine’, with prior years having themes such as ‘Parody’ in 2019 and ‘Mystique’ in 2018.
The artistic teams appearing in this year’s show are:
Anne Veck – UK
Beauty Underground – USA
Carlo Bay – Italy
Dmitry Vinokurov – Russia
Gogen – Italy
Ken Zhou – China
Klaus Peter Ochs – Germany
Kohsuke Visual Network – Japan
Mikel Luzea – Spain
Robert Cromeans – USA
Rudy Mostarda – Italy
Saco – UK
Sanrizz – UK
Sassoon – UK
Stevo Pavlovic – Slovenia
Tigi Creative Team – UK
Other proceedings being presented during the show include the finals of the International Visionary Awards, which will be judged by a “specially selected panel of top international hairdressers and colourists.”
Also featured is Alternative Hair Show International Legends, which offers a view of some of the event’s most respected hair icons who have supported the show over the last 38 years.
Proceedings made from the show are in support of the charity Fighting Leukaemia, which helps families living with Leukaemia and blood cancer and aids research in fighting the disease. Click here to register and donate.
