The hairdressers' charity raises £9,000 with annual bike ride This year's annual bike ride for The Hairdressers' Charity took place in Portugal and proved to be a huge success. 21 riders of mixed abilities took off from headquarters including teams from charity itself as well as hairdressers such as Kate Preston and Libby Rock, Neil Cornay, Alan Edwards and Russell Eaton. Top fundraiser Karine Jackson of Karine Jackson Hair &  Beauty who raised a staggering £1,400 for the charity. Victor Pajak took on the role of organiser again this year. He said: "Once again it was great fun; the camaraderie and support of the attendees- both regulars and newbies was great. Everyone was encouraging when it came to tackling the tough Monchique hills. The money raised really does make a difference to those who need it most. It was a fantastic event and I can't wait until the next one!" Rider Philip Sharp praised the event saying: "The charity bike ride is one of the best ways of supporting The Hairdressers' Charity, whilst at the same time forming friendships with so many talented hairdressers in our industry. I would recommend anyone thinking of taking part in this event in future years to sign up. Once you do, you will be hooked and you'll have the time of your life."
