We asked hairdressers who their celebrity hair crush is... No matter how matter amazing styles you coif or colours you create there is bound to be a look (or two) out there that you wish you'd created yourself. Whether it's a red carpet celebrity look or an Instagram influencer's style we wanted to know what styles some of our favourite hairdressers are crushing on.

Stylists reveal their celebrity hair crush

Celebrity - Jade Thirwall

https://www.instagram.com/p/CE9wYbjhJhP/ Brian Leo McCallum, Owner of ROAR Hair and Beauty "The natural movement and texture of her curl is gorgeous. I love that her hair is always worn in so many different ways. Versatility is key and I love that 2020 has encouraged people to embrace their natural curl pattern and texture. Jade is a stunning example of this."

Celebrity – Gabrielle Union

https://www.instagram.com/p/CF-IzIBp_e5/ Rianna Henry, @theblowdryartist It has to be Gabrielle Union - her hair styles always have me screaming “yeeeesssss”! I love how she experiments with different styles, textures and lengths. Her natural hair is gorgeous when she does wear it out, but when she chooses to wear wigs or have a weave it’s always a similar texture to her own hair, so it never really looks fake. I love that sometimes she has braids and twists and rocks natural curly styles. It reminds me that our hair is our crown and it’s so versatile there’s always some new masterpiece we can create with our crowns.

Celebrity – Taylor LeShae

https://www.instagram.com/p/CG7usO1nwEc/ Melissa Timperley, salon owner of Melissa Timperley Salons “The french girl Bob as worn by Taylor LeShea is my ultimate celebrity hair crush. It’s a classic Bob cut right to the lips with a curved fringe cut above the eyebrow, slightly longer at the temples, and blended into the length. I love that it can be styled both smooth and effortlessly wavy. It’s a statement that shows femininity is not always about having long hair.” Josh Goodwin, Tint Leeds "I love Taylor LaShae’s hair so much. I love the lazy styling in it and love the attitude of it. The tight French bob sits so nice on her face and just looks incredible."

Celebrity – Miley Cyrus

https://www.instagram.com/p/CF99eqBp0SQ/ Kerry Mather, owner of KJM Salons "Miley Cyrus is my girl crush – I love her look, her hair, her vibe - everything! She oozes confidence, especially when it comes to her hair – she’s had it all from boho beachy waves, gorgeous pixies, a platinum quiff, pigtails, sleek and smooth, high ponies and now she’s embracing the mullet. Her hair is constantly evolving and I can’t wait to see what’s next!" Harry Wiffen – stylist,  Trevor Sorbie Covent Garden for L’Oréal Professionnel Miley’s look is my absolutely favourite celebrity hair crush. I love that it’s a little bit grungy and not your ‘average’ women’s haircut - because it’s so choppy it’s an easy look to manage too! To create this look I would cut the hair with a razor to create texture and shape. To style it I would apply L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Pli before drying and would either finger dry or diffuse. Then I would style it with a wax such as the L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Pli Web paste to create some more texture." Quote from Suzie McGill, international artistic director at Rainbow Room International  "One of my current celebrity crushes is definitely Miley Cyrus. The cool, grunge mullet haircut is definitely one of the best looks of 2020 and she wears it perfectly."

Celebrity – Jennifer Lopez

https://www.instagram.com/p/CEuZ0UkJMHG/ Tim Scott Wright, owner, The Hair Surgery "She is the epitome of what I would call 'classy glamour'. I think Chris Appleton simply nails her iconic look and takes it to the next level. She always looks effortlessly beautiful." Sheree Thompson, Siren Bridal Hair Art “Without a doubt, my celebrity hair crush is JLo! She is incredible, beautiful, strong and knows the power of class. Whatever style she adapts she always gets it right with the help of her hair artist, Chris Appleton. She always brings glamour to every look and has me crushing every time!”

Celebrity – Dua Lipa

https://www.instagram.com/p/CGdYsE2sU4a/ Adam Reed, UK editorial ambassador for L’Oréal Professionnel My biggest celeb hair crush? For me it has to be Dua Lipa! Her hair is transformational, daring, a little bit out there. I think it’s fun, fresh and young but there are still elements of a classic style, I really enjoy seeing this!

Celebrity – Justin Timberlake

https://www.instagram.com/p/B3nOsF0B5_B/ Darrel Starkey “My celebrity hair crush is Justin Timberlake. From perms to a skin head, this guy knows how to wear a look! He’s never scared to step up with a style that is considered as drastic and is always a creative when matching his clothes.”

Celebrity – Freja Beha Erichsen

https://www.instagram.com/p/CGD5BSFA0UT/ Craig Taylor, Hari's creative director and session hairdresser for L’Oréal Professionnel "Uber supermodel Freja Beha Erichsen is an inspiration for her Chameleon like hair cuts and styles. Straight, curly, naturally textured. Long, short or mid-length, with or without a fringe, her haircuts suit her across all genres. To create her look, before working on any head of hair the understanding of the hairs own capabilities, texture, shape, length and suitability is crucial to a successful outcome. Taking the time to investigate and ask questions of what the hair can achieve in detail is the best way to provide you the ultimate result. Pull the hair away from the face to see the faces shape, damp the hair slightly, comb it, brush it, scrunch with fingers (adding a little L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Pli if you like) to attain its texture and movement, above all always work with the hair, don't fight against it. These rules should always be used before any cutting or styling"

Celebrity – Charlize Theron

https://www.instagram.com/p/CDJ1W-NBmhU/ Let Lew, Let Lew Hair Design “Charlize Theron – 100%. She is always so classic and elegant and her hair always looks so perfect and red carpet ready at all times. Throughout her career her hair has always been nothing but beautiful.” Jack Merrick-Thirlway, Neville Hair and Beauty for L’Oréal Professionnel “Charlize Theron’s beautifully crafted bowl cut suits her features perfectly well, bespoke to her face shape with softness left in all the right areas is stunning. A haircut is so specific to each and every person and must suit the individual. The most vital piece of advice for a short haircut on a lady is to leave the edges soft, this gives sexiness without leaving harsh lines. To style this type of crop I love L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Pli, use this product in freshly washed towel dried hair, once blow-dried in, it gives the perfect control for shorter textured hair."

Celebrity – Jasmine Sanders

https://www.instagram.com/p/CGshhiIjTG3/ Carmen Amelia "My favourite hair crush at the moment is Jasmine Sanders aka Golden Barbie. She always has incredible hair and I love how diverse and creative she is with her hair styles - going from curly to braids to straight. I love to use her styles when creating my mood boards."

Celebrity – Shingai Shoniwa

https://www.instagram.com/p/CGOFaOwnhsm/ Ebuni Ajiduah, certified trichologist "Shingai Shoniwa is my ultimate celebrity hair crush. I love how she incorporates traditional African styles and highlights its versatility."

Celebrity – Kate Moss

https://www.instagram.com/p/CGF1UuHFy_J/ Francesca Dixon, creative colourist at Hari’s Hairdressers for L’Oréal Professionnel My celebrity hair crush is the one and only Kate Moss. Her hair always looks effortlessly cool. Her blonde is never yellow or orange and it always looks natural with a cool, undone, natural rock chick finish. I believe Kate must have high lift tints in her highlights and maybe a few brighter ones throughout but her hair is the best of natural and bright with a subtle hint of a shadow root combined with an undone hair style. Top tip to achieve Kate’s look - don’t overload it with too many foils and use a silver shampoo (try L’Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Silver Shampoo) to keep any yellow, brassy tones at bay.

Celebrity – Jeanne Damas

https://www.instagram.com/p/B8_SNAUC-9O/ Jonathan Soons, Headmasters creative ambassador: “Right now, I am obsessed with Jeanne Damas. With hair du jour, she encapsulates that French understated chic that’s so cool and captivating.”

Celebrity – Saweetie

https://www.instagram.com/p/CCPC3nhhzCn/ Lady Coleman "I’m currently loving Saweetie’s hair! I like the fact that her hair is never the same; the vibrancy in the colours, her use of hair accessories, and the fact that she makes hair from the nineties and early 2000s look modern now."

Celebrity – Lily James

https://www.instagram.com/p/CE1_TleMxTu/ Andrew Barton Headmasters creative and communications director “I absolutely love Lily James’ chin grazing bob in the acclaimed Netflix film Rebecca. It beautifully frames her face and the butter blonde is so healthy with a gentle wave - perfection.”
