Lady Gaga Met Gala 2019 Hair Inspiration
“Inspired by one of Lady Gaga’s most iconic hair looks the truly stands out as a note of camp-style,” says Frederic. “I decided to deconstruct the Iconic Bob and hair bow and give the Bob a new rippled wave shape and make multiple mini hair bow throughout the hair.”
How to Recreate
“To create Lady Gaga’s Met Gala 2019 hair look I applied JOICO Defy Damage Protective Shield to dampen her hair before combing through to ensure even distribution and protection all over.
I then used JOICO Blonde Life Brilliant Tone Violet Smoothing Foam starting at the roots of her hair and combed through before blow drying using a small round brush to give height and shape to her hair.
Next I used the ghd platinum+ festival collection styler to create the very defined, uniformed waves all around hair. To get that rippled bubble effect I curled her hair under.
I then used JOICO Joi Gel Firm to create mini hair bows throughout the crown of her head and pinned in place with bobby pins.
Once placed, I combed out and made her hair smooth with two pumps of JOICO Blonde Life Brilliant Glow Brightening Oil. This adds that gorgeous sheen to her hair and smooths flyaways.
I then sprayed with JOICO Joi Shape and Flip Turn Finishing Spray to mould her hair and to hold in place as she graced the red carpet.”
