Hji hearts . . . carey's new blonde hue

We recently celebrated Carey Mulligan's cute pixie crop and now Carey has taken her look a step further by going blonde.

As winner of BAFTA's Best Actress award for her performance in An Education, Carey revealed her new do to the glitterati and she looked fabulous.

Thomas McMillan of Cox McMillan, Bothwell says: "I think Carey Mulligan's new colour is fab on her, along with the crop it gives her a fresher, more vibrant look.

Carey's new sunny tones certainly helped her to sparkle on her big night and although she suits both dark and light tones, it will be interesting to see how long she sticks as a born-again blonde.

Thomas prefers Carey with her blonde hue: "She has previously had more middle of the road colours so it's great to see her with a much sexier, sharper look that overall, suits her skin tone and face shape......a perfect match!"

The next day, Carey turned up at the Elle Style Awards looking surprisingly fresh and lovely ditching her flowing frock for a structured pencil skirt and belted top combo which gave her blonde crop a modern and fresh edge.

Carey is one to look out for in 2010, not only for her acting talents but also for her style.
