12 of the Biggest Celebrity Hair Transformations of 2019

by hjiadmin / last updated June 18, 2019

Would celebrities even be celebrities if they weren’t changing up their look more often than they change their Instagram profile picture? This year we’ve already seen some huge hair transformations so below we have picked the ones we think your clients will be requesting this year.

1. Reese Witherspoon
The actress showed off her new summer cut on Instagram and it’s the shortest length seen on her in a long time. The should-grazing bob was cut by hairstylist, Lona Vigi.

2. Lily James
Lily James has decided to opt for the chop and follow one of the biggest summer trends this year – the chic blunt bob. The style complements her balayage and the finish and layers frame the face and adds volume. Hairstylist: John MacPherson.

3. Kim Kardashian
The Kardashian-Jenner family are known for their constant change in hairstyles! Kim always keeps us on our toes and surprisingly, last week Kim opted out for a hairstyle different to her usual beach waves and went back to glass hair chic. Kim’s summer cut of choice was in fact a middle part and a short dark bob that goes just a tad past her chin. Hairstylist: Chris Appleton.

4. Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron was almost unrecognisable at the 2019 Oscars. She made an appearance with a distinctly different to her usual platinum colour hairstyle – a dark raven-black bob. She has kept the youthful bob ever since. Hairstylist: Adir Abergel.

5. Demi Lovato
The singer was known for her signature long hair, however she decided keep up with the bob trend and have her hair shorten into the perfect short bob inspiration. She decided on an elegant blunt cut with a slight turn under. She also changed her hair colour from her previous warm-toned balayage for a much darker block colour. Hairstylist: Amber Maynard Bolt.

6. Lucy Hale
Lucy Hale loves to play with her hair look and we love seeing what she is going to opt for next. This cute, choppy, voluminous bob is for her upcoming role of Katy Keene in the the CW’s ‘Riverdale’ spinoff pilot. Hairstylist: Kristin Ess Hair.

7. Kristen Stweart
Kristen Stewart paid a tribute to David Bowie with her multi-coloured Met Gala look. Her interpretation of camp, this year’s Met Gala theme, was a short bold multi-coloured hairstyle, which both contrasted and complemented her monochrome Chanel outfit. She had dark tones underneath and pale blonde in front with a bright bold red through the middle. Kudos on the bright yellow eyebrows too. Hairstylist: Adir Abergel.

8. Emma Roberts
Contrary to the her fellow celebrity friends, Emma decided to go back to her roots with a boho sunrise blonde colour, styled in summer weaves that can almost reach her waist thanks to Great Lengths hair extensions. This was quite a drastic change from her dark bob we are use to seeing on Emma. Hairstylist Nikki Lee.

9. Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff is single-handedly bringing back the Brigitte Bardot fringe. Her 1970s face framing fringe and beachy blonde locks give the much needed summer vibes. Hairstylist: Nikki Lee.

10. Barbara Palvin
Barbara Palvin strolled on the CFDA Fashion Awards carpet, with a full fringe and straight light-chocolate brown long hair. The change was drastic as the model was seen just a few weeks prior to the fashion event having middle-parted, shoulder-grazing bob. Hairstylist: Owen Gould.

11. Bella Hadid
At the CFDA Fashion Awards yet another Victoria’s Secret model awed everyone with a new hairstyle. Bella Hadid appeared with a retro Carrie Bradshaw-inspired bouncy curly updo. Hairstylist: Jen Atkin.

12. Beyonce
Beyonce changed her signature blonde hair for a deep-chocolate brunette colour. Her hair has an ombre technique with lighter tips, and a few vibrant streaks throughout. Either way, this hair colour is much darker than her iconic blonde shade. Hair by: Neal Farinah.
