Pop star Amerie is something of a style icon, but do you think she's gotta work a little harder at her image?

However, her healthy glamorous glow makes me think she has had a clear gloss added for extra shine. This shade, although natural, is still very easy to recreate. Use a semi-permanent dark brown gloss for global cover on Afro or mixed-race hair, lasting up to 12 shampoos. To achieve this style Amerie has washed, conditioned and towel-dried her locks, then added a drop of strengthening style serum. Using the hairdryer with the nozzle facing down, her hair has been dried from root to tip to prevent frizz or flyaway hair.
