Habia to help with a hairdressing career in music Habia To Help with a Hairdressing Career in Music Habia will be helping young stylists achieve their dreams of achieving a hairdressing career in music as part of a new series of live events. The Government Licensed Standard Setting Body for Hair, Beauty, Nails and Spa has been asked to team up with the Big Music Project at a series of events to highlight career options right across the music industry. The Project is co-funded by the Big Lottery Fund and a range of organisations from the Music Industry. Four free events will be held across September and October in Glasgow, London, Cardiff and Belfast. Caroline Hilton of the Big Music Project says:
These live events will open up young people’s minds in to the wide variety of roles within the industry, not just the obvious roles of artist or record label exec. Hair and makeup artists are a fundamental part of a team that help deliver live music events, photo shoot and videos; it’s a very aspirational career. We are thrilled that Habia are going to partner with us in Glasgow, Cardiff and Belfast. With the support of partners like Capital FM, we aim to have 1500 young people at our events. It will be brilliant for them to get the chance to get see an industry artist at work and learn more about training and qualifications."
Richard Lambert, sales and marketing director at Habia adds: "We were delighted to have been invited to support the Big Music Project Live Events. Of course, there is a very real ‘creative affinity’ between music and hair & beauty and attendees will leave both inspired and informed about hair and beauty’s role in the music industry." Tickets are free - to register or find out more about the entire Big Music Project, visit www.thebigmusicproject.co.uk
