With social media an essential part of a hairdresser's brand, Adam Gray from Digital Leadership Associates said your audience is all on social media, and the challenge is to make sure you are seen. Speaking at the Launch of Sebastian Professional's The Cut online hub, he said more people are on Twitter than live in Europe, so the potential to build your brand on social media is massive - and there for the taking.
Adam's top tips for successful social media included:
- Be authentic - you have to win people's trust and build up a rapport with your audience
- Have a social media strategy - know who you are and what your brand stands for
- People will read half of what you post and assume the rest.
- Read it twice before you post
- Dont assume you have the monopoly on something
- Define and measure the best time your audience is there
