Keeping social media consistent with your brand

Keeping social media consistent with your brand social mediaMost salons have a set of brand guidelines that include their logo, their font and their colour scheme that are used across all of their offline marketing materials. But when it comes to social media those guidelines often get forgotten, says Kate Woods of KOR Digital. It’s a shame because being consistent with your fonts and colour palette, can create an instantly recognisable salon brand in the digital space too. But creating on-brand social content isn’t just about a consistent look and feel. It’s also important to think about whether what you post is relevant and interesting to your clients (if not, you might as well not bother!). You probably want about one-third of your content to come from other sources: your product partner, colour house, magazines, blogs or other local businesses are all good places, but be selective. Before you post, have a quick think about whether the publication’s brand values are in line with your own and right for your clients. I thoroughly recommend Canva.com to create branded content. It is perfect for anyone to create graphics and memes or add your logo to your images - with absolutely no design skills necessary!
