Clynol also supported the careers of some of hairdressing’s most dynamic women, with Lisa Shepherd, Tracey Devine-Smith and Sharon Peake all of whom served as brand ambassadors for the brand. The brand was one of the original wholesale-focussed brands in the UK, targeting freelance and independent hairdressers even before it was such a large sector of the industry. with the brand leaving the market. Henkel will now be promoting Indola as its alternative wholesale-exclusive brand. “Indola has a very strong heritage in the UK and Ireland wholesale marketplace,” says Richard Thomasson, head of wholesale for the UK and Ireland. “We believe it has an excellent opportunity to further grow and develop with the exciting pipeline of activities we have planned for 2020 and beyond. This is also in line with the Henkel strategy to focus on developing global brands within the professional hair market.”
