Easydry win the double at green awards Easydry Win the Double At Green AwardsPioneering disposable towel company Easydry picked up two awards at the Green Awards, including Green Entrepreneur of the Year for founder Anne Butterly. This isn't the first time Anne has picked up the prestigious award, which recognises those who have set up a green business and gone above and beyond to contribute to sustainability. The company also won the Sustainable Water Achievement Award, which recognises organisations that have made improvements or used innovative methods to result in water saving or water quality improvement. The award recognises it’s eco-friendly production processes and also the amount of water savings it offers to its clients. The double win comes in the same year that Easydry celebrates its tenth anniversary. Since their launch, Easydry has helped salons save the equivalent of 89 Olympic sized swimming pools' worth of water - and the same amount of energy that it would take to boil more than 150 million kettles! Anne says: "We are delighted with this recognition of the work that we do to reduce water consumption in Ireland and on a global scale. These awards celebrate Easydry, our products and our clients. Working together we can reduce water consumption, energy consumption and our carbon footprints by offering the softest, most luxurious and hygienic disposable towel possible. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our ten year anniversary!" [Photos: Paul Kelly] galleryWidgetDec14
