Hob salons' clive collins shares the secrets of his success The Fellowship recently held an exclusive workshop with renowned business director, Clive Collins, of HOB Salons who spent the day mentoring and providing guidance and advice to 10 salon owners and five salon managers at the HOB Academy in London. Hosted on the day by Edward Hemmings, this workshop was all about what it takes to have a successful salon. It’s not every day that you get to soak up first-hand knowledge and experience from someone who has built a group of 27 salons. Clive shared his experience and knowledge and some of the key strategies that have helped him to get HOB Salons to where it is today, sharing his salon success secrets. Minimum wage, the living wage, retail percentages and client retention were among the hot topics of the day. The attendees discussed with Clive how best to implement his ideas and by the end of the day, the room was buzzing with people ready to get back to their businesses and up their game. “The audience were fantastic!” says Clive, “it was comforting for everyone to know that we’re all experiencing the same problems and issues within our salons. My one key piece of advice is to rebook every client before they leave the salon! Without client retention, you cannot grow your business.”
