Blue Tit celebrates hair salons reopening with new salon in Greenwich

Blue Tit Greenwich salon co-owner Lee Beever told HJ exclusively the Greenwich salon has been on the cards for a while. He said: "Myself and the Blue Tit Directors had been planning the Partnership for some time, however when we entered lockdown 1.0, plans for the first property we had chosen were haltered and put on the back burner as the whole of the world came to a standstill with so much uncertainty with what was going to happen. When Boris announced we were going to be coming out of lockdown on the 4 July 2020, we started plans for the new salon once again. Like any property, it takes some time to secure it, which meant we finally got the keys on 15 December 2020 – four days before another lockdown." On the plus side, the unexpected lockdown gave Lee and theBlue Tit team even longer to make Greenwich one of the brand's most sustainable salons yet. Lee admits that expanding at any time is a scary step and during lockdown it could be seen as risky, however he explained Blue Tit is built on being bold and brave. He said:
Coming to Greenwich, we want to offer the fix to those lockdown locks we have seen so widely talked about on social media and what better way to do so with a brand new salon and a beautiful interior.
The Supporting UK business with our furniture - made using all natural and sustainable materials - has helped create an idyllic work place for our staff. It’s a serene, calm environment for our clients to come, relax and enjoy a drink whilst having a world class service we at Blue Tit pride ourselves on.

What makes the Greenwich salon different to Blue Tit's existing salons?

The salon is an eight-minute walk from both Deptford and Greenwich stations making it a prime location for busy commuters, those working from home, students, tourists and of course the local community. Lee pointed out:
Blue Tit is intrinsically connected to its localities and we cannot wait to join our new community and bring our planet friendly and entirely unique experience to the area.

How is Blue Tit promoting the new salon to clients

Blue Tit had an incredible response from its clients showing support, not just for the new Greenwich salon but across all of its neighbourhood locations with over 6,000 people on the waitlist when the first bookings opened. Our priority is to ensure an incredible service for all those who we welcome through our doors alongside supporting our team in this transition and their wellbeing. Lee said: "Beyond the opening weeks we are excited to start developing some key local partnerships, building on our current relationships whether drinks enjoyed in our salon or festivals where our teams take their trend setting looks to some of the UKs most exciting fields, inviting press and influencers into the salons and using our social and marketing channels to shine a spotlight on Greenwich, Deptford and all the neighbourhoods we are part of. He added: "We’ll be continuing to maintain our commitments to being a more diverse and inclusive business and we're very excited for our Afro and mixed textured hair specialist Sharley Butcher to resume the training across the Blue Tit teams. And we will of course be maintaining our BCorp certification and looking forward to what else we can as a company to be kind to our planet and its people."
