HJ's British Hairdressing Business Awards 2014 once again celebrated the forward-thinking success stories of the salon industry, with individuals, major salon groups and independents all recognised for their outstanding business acumen.
The biggest winners of the night were Amanda and Toby Dicker from The Chapel, who took the ultimate title of HJ's Business Director of the Year for their achievements at their three-salon group.
Other winners at the glittering ceremony, presented by Britain's Got More Talent host, Stephen Mulhern, included Joy McQuillan from Rainbow Room International, who took Salon Stylist of the Year for a second time and Lisa Shepherd, who won Innovation of the Year for her Express Color Bar concept.
HJ’s executive director Jayne Lewis-Orr said: "Tonight is all about celebrating the very best in this amazing industry – those teams, individuals and business leaders who elevate the profession by offering the best in customer service, innovative marketing campaigns, exceptional training programmes and so much more.

"From the juniors and assistants who are just starting out on their journey, to the established stylists who maintain an incredibly busy column; to the salon managers and business directors who lead from the front and help their teams grow in stature and skill – each and every finalist is here because they are the best in this business and we should all be proud of their achievements.
"I am proud to say that I work in the hairdressing industry alongside the people here tonight who are the very best at what they do, so please join me in congratulating them all."
