How to recreate serena williams' stunning royal wedding look In case you missed it there was a royal wedding last weekend. And while millions of viewers watched and waited for the beautiful bride, we were mesmerised by something else - Serena Williams' bodacious braids. The look was created by Lorraine Dublin of My Hair Bar, London. Lorraine says: “It was such an honour to get the call, being asked to style Serena’s hair for the Royal Wedding. Along with my assistant Brenda, we started prepping from the night before the wedding and it took around 5 to 6 hours to complete.” https://www.instagram.com/p/Bi_8HntFFjt/?taken-by=serenawilliams Here she tells us how you can recreated the look on your clients. 1. First prep hair by cleansing and treating using AffirmCare Scalp Therapy Shampoo, followed by AffirmCare Scalp Therapy Conditioner. 2. After cleansing, apply KeraCare Oil Moisturizer and KeraCare Essential Oils to add moisture to the hair. 3. Next, blow-dry hair using heat protectant. 4. Once hair is dry, cornrow the crown in small single rows going from front to back. 5. The next step is to add synthetic hair extensions to the lengths of the hair, and install in double stranded twists. I used Xpressions Synthetic Hair for the twists. Ends were sealed by adding hot water, which prevents unravelling. 6. Finally, once twists were completed, I finished the look by adding a spritz of KeraCare Thermal Wonder 6 in 1 Thermal Protector for shine. Upkeep an longevity?  "I'd recommend you keep this style in for 3-4 weeks the latest," says Lorraine. "To maintain this style, apply a natural oil to the scalp to keep it moisturised, and at night wrap with a satin headscarf and apply a light mousse to both your natural hair and the extensions to prevent any frizz and fraying. You can also apply a shine spray or oil sheen to prevent the hair from looking dull."
