After weeks of speculation, the X Factor judges have finally been announced. Joining Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh are ex-Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland and N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos.

While the controversy around Cheryl Cole's sacking is still making headlines, we can't wait to see how the new judges settle in - and check out their outfits!

For the first round of auditions, Tulisa and Kelly pulled out all the stops to ensure they looked at their best - we asked Alexander Turnbull and Robert Masciave to give us their opinions on the new judges' style.

Tulisa is being touted to rival Cheryl in the style stakes this season, making her mark as a fashionista for a new generation. Dressed in a lipstick-print jumpsuit, she wore her hair piled on her head for a cute, kitschy retro look.

Alexander says: "Creating updo hairstyles is similar to sculpting a masterpiece, each style will be different. This style is elegant, chic and adds a modern twist to the conventional formal updos we are used to seeing."

"Tulisa is never shy of trying new styles or trends. This look is inspired by the pin-up girl look of the 40s but by adding the plait detail it creates a whole new unique look that stays true to Tula's quirky style."

Meanwhile, Kelly stuck to her usual blunt fringe/poker straight lengths combo. In a neon lace crop top and black skirt, she looked every inch the pop princess.

Robert says: "Many models and celebrities are opting for creative blunt hairstyles with a full fringe. These bluntstyles have managed to establish a strong reputation and are perfect for those who want to upgrade their look and add a modern edge with a 60's flair."

"Kelly's stunning long locks and full fringe work perfectly with her face shape. Styled for smoothness, the blunt fringe hits right under the brows and really draws attention to her eyes and high cheek bones."
