Schwarzkopf professional glam girl competition: winner announced! Schwarzkopf Professional Glam Girl Competition Winner Announced! At HJ's 2014 British Hairdressing Awards, more than 1,700 Schwarzkopf Professional Glam Girl dolls were handed out. Each guest walked away with a doll, tasked with the challenge of making her over in true hairdresser style. There were no rules; cut, colour, perms, updos - anything was allowed. And, from shaved heads to glitter and crystals, each doll was well and truly made over in the hands of some of Britain's best hairdressing talent. HJ's British Hairdresser of the Year nominees got their hands on dolls too - giving them a makeover in the Schwarzkopf Professional Ask Academy in special appointments; all caught on camera. Everyone who made over a Glam Girl doll was invited to upload their finished look to the Schwarzkopf Professional site - and now a winner has been selected. The judging panel was a select group of prestigious names - the likes of whom have judged some very tricky hairdressing competitions in the past. HJ's executive director Jayne Lewis-Orr was joined by Schwarzkopf Professional's director Simon Ellis, head of PPS Simon McDowell and general manager Michael Berggren. The result was unanimous and the winner is Michael Convery at Paul Meekin Partners Hair and Beauty. He will now enjoy an all-expenses paid Spa weekend at Champneys.
