Scholarship winner undertakes wella essential colour course Scholarship Winner Undertakes Wella Essential Colour Course Ollie Vines, one of the two Step Up & Shine Scholarship winners, has undertaken the Wella Essential Colour course as part of his year of free education. The scholarship, offered by the National Hairdressers Federation and the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, gives both winners a year of free hairdressing education. Under expert guidance from hairdressing educator Debbie G, Ollie and fellow winner Hannah Pettinger, are benefiting from £2,500-worth of bespoke education. Ollie, who is from Heaven Hair in Salisbury, chose the Wella course because of his early passion for colouring. "This is my passion, so it was the ideal day for me," said Ollie. "We went right back to basics and it really helped me understand why we were applying specific colour to get a certain result and the effects of porosity and hair texture. "It was so inspiring to be at the Wella Studio and to be working with their amazing colour technicians" he adds. "I’m so excited about taking everything I’ve learned back to the salon and I’m sure I’ll be so much more confident and creative in applying colour from now on." The search for a new 2015 recipient will launch on 15th October.
