PX 10.JPGIt's exciting to read examples of how men's hairdressing is getting the attention it deserves, not just in terms of creative collection from top hairdressers, but at grass root level.

This month saw the Fellowship for British Hairdressing's Project X students attend a men's hairdressing day at the hob Academy in Camden Town, London.

On the agenda was an inspirational day looking at modern men's hairdressing techniques and also a presentation on how men are influenced by branding and iconic male figures.

Team leaders Robert Eaton, of Russell Eaton, Leeds and Karine Jackson, of Karine Jackson, London, were on-hand to offer feedback.

"The team really enjoed their day," said Karine. "For many of them men's hairdressing was a weak area so this has really boosted their confidence and given them creative and commercial skills t take back to the salon."

Great work from the Project X mentors.
