The Fellowship for British Hairdressing's 2011 Project X students enjoyed an inspirational and educational day with session and celerity stylist, Zoe Irwin.

Zoe - one of the original founders of the course - hosted a day which saw an editorial shoot themed around texture, with each student creating their own look. Techniques were at the forefront of the session, with students mastering ponytails, braids and waves.

Students also created and presented moodboards and took part in a Q&A session about the concept of transforming catwalk looks for clients.

Zoe said: "I wanted the group to think like creative directors. Project X really is about the talent of tomorrow - it's such an opportunity for the students to springboard their careers and the day I spent with them was very reassuring for me, too. There IS future talent coming through!"
