Presidential changes

Presidential changes Last Monday saw Mark Creed hand the Presidency of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing on to Errol Douglas at a celebratory evening in London's Dorchester Hotel.

Mark  took the helm early due to the untimely death of the much loved and charismatic Terry Calvert and in his two years has respectfully continued with the legacy that Terry left whilst introducing new initiatives and ideas in order to make The Fellowship more accessible to all. Education has remained at the forefront under his tenure with events for hairdressers at all stages of their career being held around the country, and new initiatives being launched to raise the stature of professional hairdressing in the eyes of the consumer.

Allowing HABB (Hair & Beauty Benevolent) to share his President's Nights has enabled the industry charity to raise awareness and much needed funds to help those in need; and with a donation from each ticket sold and activity on the night, Mark's generosity of spirit has raised tens of thousands of pounds which can be used to support both long and short term beneficiaries.

As Errol takes on the role, he has pledged to champion new talent and wants the industry to unite behind the Fellowship to train, mentor and grow the next generation of hairdressers. And with the respect and love the industry has for him, there is no doubt that he will achieve this goal.
