Northern hairdressers shine at redken rap
The Redken Tribe congregated in Manchester for the third Redken Artistic Party (RAP) of 2008.
The Deansgate Hilton was filled to capacity with spectators eager to see the show and support finalists in the urban talent competition Style Innovator and Color Genius categories.
Chosen from an earlier mood board judging, four Style Innovators who had submitted works themed 'high fashion from the New York runway' and four Colour Genius who were tasked with creating 'Metallic Glam' hair after Redken's latest colour collection completed their looks on stage.

The event judges including, Jo O'Neill from Toni & Guy UK, Tony Wood from Ego Salon and Mike Saunders from Yellow Strawberry were impressed with the standard of all eight competitors, but crowned Joanne Johnson from Bliss Hair Design, Ashton-under-Lyne and James Shaw from Burlington's, Manchester the winners.
Joanne and James now go through to TRIBE08 and have the opportunity to shine in front of over 1000 people, live on stage in Battersea Park.
