Nashwhite Hairdressing Interiors Inspiration

Nashwhite Hairdressing in Warwick is housed in a former art gallery, and they've created their very own masterpiece with a dramatic salon makeover. Spread across three floors of a Grade 2-listed Georgian building, the salon has a high-fashion feel but it's the look and feel of hair that served as the starting point for the décor. "The main inspiration for the salon interior is texture," owners Lee and Rob explain. "This is something we create with hair, on a daily basis so it felt natural to build it into our interior." More than just texture, it's the contrast in textural finishes that really brings to life the space. "On the ground floor we worked with wood," the pair told us. "We made a bespoke wall where all our sections would sit. It was built up like a jigsaw puzzle, with random sized-pieces that joined together to make one piece of 3D art work." Imperfections are key, with the salon logo branded on to the wood and naturally-occurring signs of ageing through colour and wear. The tranquil, cosy theme continues with an oak floor and custom LED lighting, which can be changed to work with the space - whether it's bright and light for a colour correction, or moody and atmospheric for a salon party. Copper pendants with cool plumen light bulbs add a contrasting, smooth texture, while exposed brickwork adds yet another.
