My this morning makeovers

LastFriday I did my third makeover for This Morning, I'm really enjoying my timethere. It was for a seventy year old lady who had really beautiful silver hair.There were a few suggestions for taking it dark but it's such high maintenanceso I put my foot down and said no... Embrace it! Silver hair is beautiful, justlook at Helen Mirren and Dame Judi Dench. One must have for grey or silver hairis a toner shampoo, it looks quite scary as it is bright purple! You only needto use it once or twice a week to get rid all of the yellowy tones that canbuild up with pollution or nicotine and keep the hair shiny, bright and fresh.

This Friday I really enjoyed the This Morning makeover. It was a young boy whowanted a new look; he is in a band so wanted something really cool and current.I gave him a modern quiff and short back and sides with some tram lines in theside, which I think are going to make a big comeback this season.

As a Matrix ambassador I get to attend a big competition called DestinationFame for up and coming stylists. Three winners get a year of limelight in theindustry so it is a great prize, a fantastic start to any career. This year Ihave been asked to mentor one of the winners so I spent a couple of days withthem shooting a calendar. It gets sent to 2000 salons all over the country andit looks fantastic!
