Mike taylor awarded master craftsman barber award Mike Taylor Awarded Master Craftsman Barber Award Mike Taylor has been awarded the Master Craftsman Barber Award by the Hairdressing Council; the first person to ever receive the accolade. A stalwart of the barbering industry for more than 20 years, Mike not only runs his own barber shops but also teaches and assesses and has headed up the British Barbers' Association since its launch four years ago. He also sits on the expert group for the government's Trailblazers scheme, which was created to raise standards in barbering and hairdressing education. The Hairdressing Council are the only government-backed trade organisation in the UK whose aim is to have all barbers and hairdressers licensed in the UK. As director of the BBA, Mike is delighted to be awarded this first and would like all other Master Craftsman Barbers to follow his lead and apply for their Master Craftsman Status.
