Kaboodles hair crowned la biosthetique uk winners

Alex Walker from Kaboodles Hair in Torquay was named the UK winner of the La Biosthetique Beauty Stylist competition, and will now go on to compete on an international stage at the grand final in Paris. Judges - including Andrew Barton and HJi editor Rachael Gibson - fell in love with his striking cut and colour combo, as well as the overall styling, makeup and photography. Also picking up prizes on the night were Spencer Farrer-Jones from ROKU in Harrogate, who was awarded Highly Commended and Runner-Up Anthony Alden-Clift from Beau Hair & Beauty in Bournemouth. The trio were awarded as part of the La Biosthetique House Party, which took place at the intimate Hampton Manor hotel in Birmingham. La Biosthetique took over the elegant former country house for an evening of hairdressing education, inspiration and - of course - celebration. Living statues welcomed guests, while conjurers were on hand to provide entertainment as guests mingled and enjoyed the country house ambience. Models were spread throughout the rooms of the house, bringing to life key trends from La Biosthetique for the coming season. Over the course of the evening, guest artists also took to stages in rooms of the house for intimate masterclasses covering both men's and women's hair. Alex will be jetting off to Paris for an all-expenses trip of a lifetime in October. Bonne chance!
