Jamie stevens opens his first salon

Celebrity hairdresser Jamie Stevens has opened the doors to his brand new salon in his home town, Woolavington in Somerset.

The salon launched with a celebratory party that was attended by one of Jamie's most famous celebrity clients and biggest fans, Gok Wan.

"It's really important to have good hairdressing in local areas," says Gok, who happily spent the afternoon mingling with guests. "I'm supporting Jamie because he's all about the talent, and not about the ego."

The salon boasts seven styling station and will offer services such as hair extensions and the permanent blow dry.

Says Jamie, "I'm so excited to be here and I'm really looking forward to spending time cutting and colouring in the salon as well as training the team in advanced techniques and offering London-standard hairdressing in my home town."
