Hji hearts . . . audrey tautou as coco chanel
The film, Coco Avant Chanel, looks at the childhood and yound adulthood of Gabreille 'Coco' Chanel. Unsurprisingly, the film was conceived with Audrey in mind as the lead.
Audrey plays the fashion icon in a role that suits the demure star perfectly who is cute and classy in equal measures. Her hair, usually worn in a short crop, is styled into an elegantly, waved bob.
Aaron Blondell, assistant art director at John Carne explains the appeal of Coco's classic 'do. "The hair Coco sported was always elegant and sophisticated, ahead of its time but proving timeless - this low, waved look is still wearable," he says.
The trend for wavy and tousled bobs seems to be growing and the version sported by Audrey in the film will be sure to make it even more popular. The connection to fashion queen Coco also boosts the style.
Aaron gives some insight into Audrey's look; "Audrey has very strong features, so anything too sculpted and severe would make her look hard and pronounce her sharp jaw line, so this soft, ethereal style makes her look feminine and pretty."
At the premier for Coco Avent Chanel this month, Audrey was back wearing her gamine pixie crop but throughout the filming process, she embraced Chanel's style.
"Audrey wore her hair loosely pinned and waved in a case of life imitating art, well you can't argue with Chanel!" says Aaron.
