Hairstyle step by step: edgy geometric crop

A hairstyle step-by-step guide to creating an edgy geometric crop with eye-catching colour from Cos Sakkas of TONI & GUY...

Cut
	>
1. Horizontal sections were worked through the back and a line cut to retain squareness.		2. Working through the sides, hair was elevated and the line continued towards the front.
	>
3. The top was overdirected to each side, disconnecting from below the curvature of the head to create asymmetry.		4. The fringe area was cut using a series of disconnections to create a stepped effect.
5. Hair was then personalised.

Colour
	>
1. Hair was prelightened. The perimeter of the hairline was block-coloured with Indigo to add structure.		2. The two offset back sections were coloured with Jet to add density and strength.
	>
3. The top was divided into three teardrop-shaped sections and worked with interlocking slices, using any three of the four colours at a time - Jet, Chocolate, Indigo or Truffle.		4. All three colours were smudged together, varying the amount and position of each colour to give an irregular effect.
Styling: Relaxing balm as applied and hair was blow-dried. The hair was pulled into shape and dressed with a matte paste
