Ghd reaches one million likes on facebook

Luxury hair styling brand, ghd, has become Britain's first professional hair brand to hit one million fans on Facebook.


As well as receiving likes from salons, session stylists and clients across the globe, ghd also helped the campaign along with their #ghd1million social media campaign.


Fans were encouraged to upload a picture of their 'good hair day' to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #ghd1million. Selected styles were then showcased on a bespoke Facebook app, with the wearers of the top ten looks winning an exclusive prize pack.


Chief marketing officer, Stuart Spiegel, said: "Not only is it amazing for the brand to connect with one million fans, but we're also very proud to be the first UK professional hair brand to do so. Reaching this exciting milestone shows that the ghd brand has a huge level of loyalty from a genuine fan base." 


"We will continue to develop innovative methods of engagement with our fans via social media and will hopefully hit the two million mark in the not so distant future - all of which should help our salon partners who will benefit from the very loyal ghd fan base who access the brand via their stylist."
