Make the most of your Salon International weekend with an evening of inspiration, creativity and charitable fundraising at the Alternative Hair Show 2011.

Now in its 29th year, the event will be making a return to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 16 October for an evening show, supported by TIGI, Schwarzkopf Professional, Denman, Joico, KeraStraight and Affinage.

One of the most anticipated dates in the hairdressing calendar, the Alternative Hair Show is renowned for its theatrical, colourful and creative performances and with the theme this year announced as Illusion, stage shows are set to be more extravagant than ever.

The annual event can already confirm an enviable line-up of 18 worldwide hairdressing teams including TIGI, Tim Hartley and Sassoon from the UK, and international teams representing Japan, Australia and much of Europe, with more to be announced.

In addition to inspirational shows from an array of global hairdressing teams, this year's event will also see the presentation of the AIPP (Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure) Awards for the first time, as well as the annual International Visionary Award. Divised to showcase creative talent in young hairdressers, finalists will present one model on the night to be in with the chance of appearing at next year's event.

The entry deadline is 31 August, and more details can be obtained from http://www.alternativehair.org
