Create a balloon bouffant

Errol Douglas created a big and beautiful style with the help of a balloon. He talks us through his stunning creation.

1. Natural hair was blow-dried straight and the top layers were crimped.

2. Hair was lightly brushed through and pulled into a ponytail at the crown, leaving the fringe and perimeter free.

3. A balloon was blown-up and placed at the crown. Natural hair and false hairpieces were wrapped around the balloon, using hairspray and sugar water to mould it into shape.

4. Hair was left to dry and the balloon popped with a pin so that the finished shape is just the rigid moulded hair.
