Calling all nail techs with a talent for talons. Health and Beauty Salon has linked up with the inaugural Clothes Show London to find two outstanding nail technicians. And, apart from the glory and satisfaction of being a winner, there's a £500 prize for each of the winners, plus a trophy to display in all its splendour.

MAR 09 CLOTHES SHOW MODEL.jpgBy working closely together,
Health and Beauty Salon and Clothes Show London aim to create a platform for emerging and established nail technicians so their work can be seen and admired in the wider consumer marketplace.

Supported overall by Habia (which sets government-approved standards in hair, nails and spa therapy) and a part of the Clothes Show London programme, the awards are designed to be a showcase of the UK's up-and-coming beauty talent.

There are two nail categories - Nail Technician of the Year and Young Nail Technician of the Year - dedicated to nurturing, supporting and developing rising talents within the nail industry.

"The inaugural Nail Technician of the Year and Young Nail Technician of the Year Awards are both a prestigious accolade as well as a great platform to show your talent and skill to a wider, appreciative audience," says Health and Beauty Salon's publisher and editor-in-chief Jayne Lewis-Orr.

MAR 09 CLOTHES SHOW MODEL 2.jpg"Moreover, entering the awards can be career-making since the resultant publicity can make you a much-sought-after technician both within the professional nail industry as well as in the wider marketplace."

Adds the managing director of Clothes Show Live Gavin Brown: "The Clothes Show Nail Awards, hosted at the highly anticipated inaugural Clothes Show London, is dedicated to supporting the burgeoning wealth of talent in this industry.

"It's a great opportunity to make your first foray into the mainstream."
