Celebs go hot for chocolate

Luxury shades of chocolate brown are set to be big news for next season, and at last night's CW TCA Summer Party in LA, stars with sultry brunette hues were out in force.

High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale has been both blonde and brunette in the past, but lately has been spotted with a grungy shade of honey, complete with dark roots - I can't help but be reminded of Fearne Cotton. Anyway, last night she revealed a chocolate box brunette mix. Although the extensions are a bit long and WAG-ish, I think the colour's a huge improvement.

Jessica Lowndes of 902010 also revealed a warmer shade of brunette. Usually known for her icy cool, super dark, super straight locks, this soft curled style is a really pretty transformation. Although I'm still going on about straight being a more fashion-forward choice, there's no denying this blown-out bouffant offers a really glamorous, girly look.

Fellow 902010 actress Shenae Grimes has also warmed things up with a rich espresso shade, complete with Jessica Biel-esque highlights through the very ends. A loose updo is the perfect style to show it off, and looks infinitely more grown-up and glam than her previous dirty blonde.
