Brit awards 2015: best-tressed guests BRIT Awards 2015 Best-Tressed Hot on the heels of the Oscars and the ELLE Style Awards, the BRIT Awards 2015 brought the best of British musical talent to the O2. Here, we take a look at the best-tressed guests on the red carpet and get the expert verdict from Tasha Stevens at Jamie Stevens Hair. caradbrits Cara Delevingne We say: Grunge is back! These tousled waves are in stark contrast to Cara's glossy looks from the ELLE Style Awards but she works both styles with aplomb. Fab root stretch colour too. They say: "Cara has deepened her long locks to more of a warm honey tone still using the soft ombre technique. It's a great colour. Her long layered haircut with minimal shaping around the front of her face is a massive trend for 2015; that short shaping around the face is so 90s." BRIT Awards hair - Charli XCX Charli XCX  We say: The ponytail was the most-worn look on the red carpet and we particularly loved Charli's tousled, twirly, effortless version. Downtown hair with an uptown gown - just like we saw so much of at fashion week. They say: "I love Charlie's low ponytail. Her whole image is a bit rough around the edges so this dishevelled look works with the whole style. From her make up to her hair she looks like she 'woke up like this' and I love it." fkatwigs FKA Twigs We say: Dressed out baby hairs and braids add up to one strong look from our girlcrush and current style queen, FKA Twigs. They say: "FKA Twigs walked the red carpet of the Brit Awards rocking jet black long box braids with 90s inspired hair slicks. The geometrical triangle shaped sections throughout the top of her hair added definition to the overall style, which led into two bantu knots keeping the look modern and contemporary." BRIT Awards hair - Karlie Kloss Karlie Kloss We say: Karlie also opted for a ponytail, although her take on the trend was a super-sleek, side-parted look. Perfect with that futuristic frock. They say: "Of course Karlie Kloss kept her hair simple and supermodel-esque by working an understated mid-ponytail. It was kept clean but leaving out strands around the face adds an undone and soft feel to the look." BRIT Awards hair - Marina Diamandis Marina Lambrini Diamandis We say: Something new from Marina! She's always up for a colour change and this rich brunette shade makes for an elegant upgrade. Styled in deep 40s waves with a tousled finish, this is a perfect East End take on West End hair. They say: "Marina is working a deep raven colour on her roots with a slightly warmer hue of deep brown on the mid-lengths and ends. This adds a soft shine, which works perfectly against her skin tone, complements her eye colour and looks great styled in a modern twist on 40s glamour." BRIT Awards hair - Mel C and Emma Bunton Mel C and Emma Bunton We say: Did the Spicies get ready together? We love that these BFFs both opted for poker-straight, centre parted hair. And, uh, rectangle clutches and black outfits and nude lipgloss and spidery black lashes. BRIT Awards hair - Michelle Keegan Michelle Keegan We say: OK, so Michelle isn't a popstar but we couldn't deny her a place in our ranking with that mane of brunette hair. Artfully tousled to perfection and super-glossy - did she know Kim Kardashian was in the crowd and take her cue? Either way, she looks incredible. They say: "It's all well and good having big glamorous hair - and don't get me wrong it's done well - I just think she’s a hot young girl that has the potential to look cooler and less Essex!" BRIT Awards hair - Paloma Faith Paloma Faith We say: Paloma looked amazing with something entirely different from her usual retro updos. This slicked back style by super-stylist Lyndell Mansfield is refreshingly different for the diva. They say: "LOVE Paloma Faith and her look, keeping her colour on the copper/ strawberry blonde spectrum and wearing it all slicked off her face. It's simpler than her usual looks, but she did have a few outfit and hair changes so there was a story behind it - not only does it look gorgeous on her, I'm sure it was for practical reasons too. When she performed got soaked it didn't budge!" BRIT Awards hair - Rita Ora Rita Ora We say: Another smash for Rita Ora and her sylist, Chris Appleton. We love this slicked-down hairline and contrasting drier texture through the lengths of that crop. They say: "I love the texture in Rita's hair, keeping her androgynous haircut looking feminine and soft. Wearing her hair slicked back off her face shows off her high cheekbones and emphasizes her strong jaw line nicely. We have a new hair chameleon in town." BRIT Awards hair - taylor swift Taylor Swift We say: T Swift rocked this side-parted, shiny bob on the red carpet and it somehow looked even better in her opening number. A firm argument for cutting your hair off if ever there was one. They say: "I prefer Taylor's hair down as opposed to these pinned sides. She's cool and gorgeous and this makes her look a bit too old!" grace-chatto Grace Chatto We say: Clean Bandit's Grace Chatto has been rocking a purple shade for a while, but this rosy pink is a serious shade upgrade. Love the dusky hues and the sleek styling. They say: "Grace Chatto rocked a brave colour and she clearly wanted to make a statement and get people to notice her! It especially stands out with the contrasting lipstick and her skin and clothes kept simple and on a nude palette." KimK Kim Kardashian West We say: Surprise presenter Kimmy K just looks better and better every time we see her, post-haircut. The tousled texture and flipped-over parting are so much better than her previous sleek extensions - gorgeous look! They say: "I love Kim's new shorter locks. She's working with so many designers and since marrying Kanye, she has definitely edged up her style. We love this low side parted messy look on her."
