Brit awards 2014: best-tressed The BRIT Awards 2014: best hair The BRIT Awards 2014 celebrated the best of British music but it also gave us a chance to see the industry's finest dolled up for the red carpet. British stars are never shy about making a statement on the red carpet, combining that London street-style cool, a hint of rock 'n' roll and a bit of that trademark eccentricity that always makes our homegrown stars so exciting to see at events. Case in point? Lily Allen's dip-dyed yellow ponytail became one of the most talked-about trending topics of the event, while Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkey's probably boosted sales of pomade by a few hundred percent thanks to his immaculate rockabilly style. Then of course there were the performances; Katy Perry's neon Cleopatra set had us reconsidering hair beads, while Beyonce was her usual immaculate self with blonde bombshell waves and Aluna George and Lordes had something of a curl-off during their performance. We were even treated to a rare Kate Moss appearance, as she accepted David Bowie's Best Male trophy on his behalf.
