One of the things i dont understand about this is when i had dealings with Vision tv , who then in turn went bust {then some of the same people set up lifestyle} it had a flashy wesite with full endorsement some from of our TOP salons and with FAMOUS stylists - ther logos and salon names rotated on screen , I would like to know were they are now and have they been ripped off like i have?

THIS IS A MESSAGE TO EVERY ONE THAT HAS ISSUES WITH LIFE STYLE TV.

Since finding that I am not the only Salon owner that has falled for this scam I have been to my Solicitors and it was refered to a Barristar.

I have been given a full report of what the Barristar has said. If anyone would like a copy of this report then please contact me on 01352 755388 or email swagmold@ymail.com

I have also reported this to watch dog today so i hope we have some results shortly.

hi i've already seen a solicitor with no joy, and have tried emailing watchdog but no response. i will try dom and keep trying, i have an other year of paying £300 a month and really struggling now, i really hope we can resolve this, i would like 2 try and sell my business but makes it difficult with this hanging over me. my leasing company is ING is there many other people with this company, we are in manchester. they seem 2 change companys all the time, so no one cottons on, scheeming b..............s.this could b our last chance.

Just tried calling Enfield Trading Standards but need to go through Consumer Direct first. Is there anyone out there in Enfield, Noeth London or Herts that can join in. Going to call them tomorrow. Will let you know how I get on

hi there i to have had many problems with shireleasing and lifestyle tv, i have been going through a solicitor with not alot of joy for nearly a year is a long and tiring battle and is still on going.

Hello Everybody

New on this site today. thought i was the only one that was having problems with Lifestyle TV & Shire Leasing.

My Salon is in North Wales.

Like the rest of you nothing is working properbly and have received nothing that was promised to me.

We have got Solicitors involved at the moment but no out come yet.

I am going to see how i report this to Watch Dog if anyone knows what i need to do then please contact me.

Hi Cathy thanks for your advice and i will call sarah asap. Its a relief to know I'm not the only one going through this and reading all the comments posted has given me renewed strength to fight them and not to sit back and accept what they have to offer because I feel it was my own stupid and naive fault when starting my own business. I have learned a valuable lesson about people giving me the gift of the gab and will take time to think about things before being ambushed into signing a contract. I will keep reading the comments and let you all know about any future developments many thanks fiona x

I wish you all luck and fully support your contact with the BBC on this. There comes a time when our traditional legal approaches become delayed, prevented or just too cost prohibitive for our Clients. I have immense sympathy for those who have contacted me on this because you have been let down by Lifestyle but are now getting a double dose by the strong handed approach being shown to you by the finance companies who seem to forget that they cannot simply put up a wall between their role as financiers and the dubious sales processes that Lifestyle had been undertaking (certainly on the cases I have seen it has been indefensible).

I was very interested to see Denise's comment on the ineffectual response from the police and I am disappointed that has happened because they have been one of the first ports of call recommended (especially on this forum) and it seems it has come to a stage where this has perhaps become too complicated for them? I wonder.

Please do continue to post on here with your news- certainly i know that many of my Clients will read these and benefit from the shared experiences.

Hi everyone out there,

whose life has been made a misery by these evil traders!!!!! I think its disgusting that we have been left out to dry by, TRADING STANDARDS, BOS, SHIRELEASING,LOMBARD,LIFESTYLE, and the POLICE!!!!! who are refusing to give us crime numbers saying its a civil matter when clearly fraud and deception is being commited here why wont anyone Listen to us!!!!!!!!!

The only way forward i see here is to get in touch with trading standards asking them to investigate, even if you get no where they assured us the more that people inform them about this matter the better chance we all stand of this being investIgated, dont just put it off cause you are embarrased we are all in this together and we need to get this resolved for all our sakes, so we can get our lifes back, and constantly stop having nightmares!!!!!!! also please get in touch with DONT GET DONE GET DOM "the BBC CONSUMER PROGRAMME" as the more people come forward the more they can do to help us, they are already investigating shire leasing!!!!!!!! (or shire fleecing as i now call them)!! They were lovely when we called them and they said its another typical senerio from this money grabbing company!!!! we have sent of all our paperwork to them now so we keeping our fingers crossed,i think the solicitors can only take this matter so far.

PLEASE EVERYONE I URGE YOU TO ACT NOW WITH THE TRADING STANDARDS AND THE BBC'S DOM, WE NEED TO DO THIS TOGETHER PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS VILE PEOPLE WIN, SOMETHING EVENTUALLY WILL HAVE TO GET DONE ABOUT THEM AND AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THE SOONER THE BETTER FOR US ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi everyone i have just received a letter from shire leasing offering to install freeview on my screens. not sure whether to accept or not they say that the offer is made in full and final settlement of all claims and has to be accepted by me on that basis. i have spoken to shire leasing but they would not tell me who was going to do this until i sign so i cannot find out exactly what they are able to do eg, sound with freeveiw. i would appreciate any advice

JUST BEEN ON THE PHONE TO BIRMINGHAM TRADING STANDARDS .HE HAS ADVISED ME TO FIND OUT IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER COMPANIES IN OUR AREA THAT HAVE PAPER WORK WITH POSSIBLE FRAUDULENT SIGNITURES THAT MAY BE FOLLOWED UP AS A GROUP CASE !!!!!!!!!! APPARENTLY MANCHESTER T S HAVE TRIED TO INVESTIGATE 1 COMPLAINT BUT AS WE ALL KNOW THEY ARE NO LONGER THERE .BIRMINGHAM HAVE TRACED THEM TO A BLACKPOOL ADDRESS BUT SUPRISE SUPRISE THEY ARE NOT THERE EITHER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
