Hi,

I am currently training to become an educator within hairdressing, part of this course is to research an area within our specialist field.

The requirements for my research is to discover employers comments and views regarding students who train in the realistic working environment (full time college) compared to those who train in a work based environment (apprentices). I would be grateful for your views as to which you feel the student would be most employable from their training within both fields.

Could anyone please help me out here?

 Hi,

Are you researching good practice in both areas? Habia web site has all the facts and figures of many areas within the field. I do think you will find your research will vary depending on the salons and colleges you look at; i would assume most training providers will give you the statistics on retention, attendance, achievement as this will effect their learning.although (dare i say it) how many students attend college to recieve their EMA? this may be a factor as to whether the students are serious in the first place! Good Luck!

Hi,

Yes I am researching both areas, I took a look at Habia's website and found lots of useful info to help me, thanks so much for your suggestion & I think you are right, EMA does play a big role!

Thanks again!
