Ok, so its not as glamourous or as worldly known as the Annual hairdresser of the year awards but we all gotta start somewhere .....I've entered myself into my colleges hairdressing competion..I've opted to do a cut and blow dry and i am well excited........wish me luck

You can do this lisa, you are interested enough to visit this site, you must be mad on hairdressing, are there pics of what won last year ? study the rules there may be clues, competition brochures often give clues as to what is wanted eg " a commercial daystyle cut and blow dry, " which would suggest nothing too way out, or " a streetwise trendy cut and dry" which would suggest something young and funky. Judges should follow the instructions in the competition brochure, favouring those that follow the brochure rules. Good luck Bill
thanks for the well wishes...it is to be held on Monday 10 December at my college (Oakwood Park in Kent).....I will find out more this Monday about what exactly it all entails............I thought it was all about hair up, so it was qutie a nice surprise to see 'cut & blow dry'....
Well, time has gone quickly....competition is monday and I am really excited....
I've got a lovely young model who is willing to let me do whatever i wish, so thats a help lol......
I'll let you all know how i got on..........the winners go through to the finals which are being held in London I think.....anyway, will keep you updated!!!

Hi guys, I got let down at the last minuteby my model, she didnt turn up....and there went my chance of stardom :(
No one was prepared to be my stand in model......sucks doesnt it...ah well, there will be other competitions I guess
Am i sad in the fact its really knocked me for six that I didnt take part??

Lisa, that's so sad. I can completely understand why you are so gutted - models can be a nightmare. Don't give up though- there will be other competitions.
