Shampoo the hair and condition it as normal.
Hair will still show curls and waves.
Apply serum to hair. Amount depends on type and length of hair.(See bottle for help)
Spread serum in palms and rub into hair, smoothing the hair along its length.
Use a hair dryer and paddle brush and start drying the hair encouraging straightness by brushing through the hair as you dry. Do not dry hair completely and set the hairdryers temperature to medium until hair is about 80% dry.
Already hair will show signs of straightening but is still frizzy and dry and lacks shine.(Straightness would not last)
With medium or long hair use clips to separate hair so that you can concentrate on one section at a time.
Starting at the front with a small section of hair use you straightener down the length is a swift smooth motion.
Repeat this step on the next section and continue using small sections right round the head.
Always run the straightener from top, down the hairs length and continue until straightener runs off the hair at the end and hair falls away. Do not stop at any point and try to keep the sweep even and consistent
On larger sections you may need to repeat the run with the straightener 2-3 times.
Once the majority of hair has been straightened finish the style by blending at the ends. With no clips run the straightener close to the ends and off the ends of the hair? This will stop separation that might occur when using sectioning clips.
You should be left with sleek shiny frizz free straight hair which should last a long time.

They didn't do this and I have ended up having to pay for 2 systems.

They have theTV's inside the mirrors and they look good but I have never received the service that they promised and now have decided to wash my hands of the company. Just wondered if we may be of interest to anyone looking to redesign their current salon, looking to expand their chain of salons ???

We are an interior design agency based in London and have just finished designing the first James Brown salon on London's Wigmore Street . The salon was featured in last weeks documentary "James Brown Supermodel Salon' but unfortunately we didn't get a mention in the programme even though we designed the salon and has it designed and fitted out in just 7 weeks!

Please check our our website www.barberdesign.co.uk for more info.

If we can help you please get in touch or if you know of anyone that is looking for a design agency please can you pass on our details.

Many thanks for taking time to read this mail.

Scissors offers you an exceptional hair cutting experience through its quality and performance. Many of you would accept that choosing professional hair dressing scissors is not an easy job! This is undoubtedly a skill that is developed from a deep understanding of tools and techniques used in this field. A lot of efforts go to select a hair cuttings scissors , which has been specifically manufactured to perform a specific hair cut.

Many a times, the kind of scissors you would use for a hair cut often depends on the hair type of the person. Therefore, you must choose a pair of scissors, which allows you to perform all hair cutting techniques perfectly and develop a comfort level in all applications. Let's go through the steps of choosing a high quality pair of scissors:

1) Choosing the blade

You must choose the blade of the scissors to match the performance you are up to. There are two types of blades:

• classic bevel edge blade

This is a hard type of blade, which is originally developed by the Germans. It is recommended for a durable impact, but it requires more efforts during the hair cut.

• Convex blade

This is the latest type of blade, which is developed by the Japanese. The convex blade offers you precision cutting experience, and requires less efforts and strain. It is reputed for offering a clean cut. This blade requires regular sharpening, and needs to be handled for sudden damage.

2) Selecting the Handle

If you pay attention to the handle of the scissors, you can have a comfortable hair dressing experience. Not only a comfortable handle causes less strain to your wrist and shoulder, but also allow you to easily style your hair. There are basically three types of handle designs that you can choose from:

• handles with opposite grip, good for professionals, who cut with thumb and middle finger

• Handle with Offset grip, good for those, who use thumb and ring finger.

• Handle with crane grip, most ergonomically designed for industry professionals

3) choosing blade length

Next step involves choosing the blade length of the professional hair dressing scissors. Remember, the length of the blade depends not only on the size of your hand, but also on the hair cutting technique that you would use. You can measure the length of scissors from the tip to your finger hole.

Besides above three important steps, you should also pay attention to the production material and production method or technique used to manufacture these scissors. Once you have chosen professional hair dressing scissors, you should ensure that you maintain them well. For this purpose, you should always keep them clean and dry. You should also lubricate them every week and keep checking them against any damage or cracks.

In the end, you should handle these scissors with care and store them in their original cases. If you don't have the storage case, it makes sense to buy a new leather pouch in order to safeguard your expensive set of professional scissors.

i have looked at all the pros and cons ...but my biggest worry is will i stop being a manager and start to be a landlord...the salon at the moment is only the two that want to go which are full time . and two junior stylists . and two part time ...i dont want to upset the rest of the staff..

also when it come down to money and sorting out the bills at he moment they are doing some technical work for me this could get tricky as they want there own switch machine.(two bills could happen)

i think they are wanting to keep there money there own(dropping the odd cash bill here and there) .we run a computer till that would cope with a rent a chair setup ...but i reckon they are wanting a more flexable appointment book...

or am i just making a mountain from a mole hill...

any ideas or even if any one is doing it them selves in there salon how they have it set up would be very helpful...
