Patrick Cameron Piles on the Glamour at Salon Live

Patrick Cameron dazzled a glamour-hungry capacity crowd with his live show, which offered a retrospective of his 20-year career travelling the world as an educator.
Patrick created 10 looks in 75 minutes, demonstrating the skills, techniques and drive that have made him the long-hair guru.
Looks created included a style from Patrick's Jewelled Collection - a look he credits with catapulting his career upwards 21 years ago.
The look, devised using numerous hair nets and copious amounts of pins and hair spray, was, said Patrick, the one that made him realise he should focus on long hair - creating super-glamorous up-dos and evening looks that have inspired generations of hairdressers to explore the full potential of dressing long hair.
Patrick brought out a full battalion of styling aids, including hair pins, hair pads, for creating some towering high hair and, of course some glitter spray for the Hollywood sparkle.
All Patrick's signature looks were there - big curls, beautiful waives, and even dreadlocks - although not a hint of grunge in sight!.
Patrick's philosophy is that you can never have too much glamour, but the secret, he told the audience, is to keep it simple and make it fun.
"If I can do it, so can you" he said. "My advice is do one thing and be bloody good at it."
Judging from his Salon Live show, Patrick has certainly followed his own advice - and done it with real sparkle.
