Mahogany Do 'Romantica' at their Salon Seminar

mahogany_seminar.jpgIt was all about love at the Mahogany Salon Seminar where the team demonstrated their Romantica Collection, which combines rock with the old English dandy for a strong new romantics tone.

"This concept was inspired by the classic pistols at dawn fight over girls that arrives in the east end of London in 2010," Richard Thompson, Mahogany international creative director, explained as he and his colleagues demonstrated variations of the collection.

Romantica consists of two female looks and one male hairstyle that use precision cutting to create asymmetric shapes with long disconnected lengths.

The cuts were complemented by dramatic hair colour that used strong placement and stark contrast to make a real statement.

Creamy blondes were set off with amber and inky blacks, while reds were complemented by copper tones, deep violets and soft pinks with contrasting coloured around the fringe for added drama.

With an innovative format that involved no pre-cutting so that audience members could follow one of the 10 live hair cuts from start to finish, this seminar really was about educating the international audience.

And it's clear that they too shared the love and embraced the Mahogany when they were given the opportunity to get up close and study all the finished Romatica looks at the end of the inspiring show.
