1. A side parting was taken back to the crown and diagonal back partings were taken from the side parting to behind the ear. The front was blow-dried ready for cutting.

2. Starting at the fringe, a diagonal forward parting was taken. Hair was distributed 'T' to the parting, elevated one finger's depth and point-cut parallel to the parting.
3. The last diagonal forward parting was taken to the recession area. Hair was distributed 'T' to the parting, elevated one finger's depth and point-cut parallel to the parting. The opposite side was cut in the same way.

4. Sides were blended with the fringe. Hair was distributed to the natural fall, elevated 45 degrees and deep point-cut for texture.
5. This was continued on the other side.

6. A central vertical section was taken at the crown. The section was distributed 90 degrees, elevated 90 degrees from the round of the head and point-cut for texture.
7. A diagonal back parting from the centre guide was over-directed to the centre, elevated 90 degrees and point-cut for texture. This was repeated on the opposite side. Hair was blow-dried with a paddle brush, then personalised by back-cutting and slide-cutting.

Styling: Dry wax spray was spritzed through the hair in sections for a matte textured finish.
Alternative Styling: A radial parting was taken from ear to ear. Small sections on top were backcombed, smoothed over and sprayed for hold. The back was pulled into a tight ponytail, and length from the top was wrapped round the base.< td>
